Lucky X Club

The X got it's first welcome from Florida Highway Patrol...and from a red-haired female trooper, no less. Guys..it was veerry short and cut in a certain way...if you know what I mean...this was not a Wicked Weasel moment to be sure, 'kay?

And she was not wearing thigh-high trooper boots either...but she was very professional and nice.

Anyway, I definitely had had the hammer down doing 80 (and climbing after squishing through a toll plaza) in a 55 (she said I passed her--Darwin award to accella) as I headed to take my mother (yet to be picked up) to the doctor. As I glanced in the rear view while she was running my plates, I had already resigned myself to the fact that my weekly beer money was gone...I figured I was in for the full-blown hammering, but I got sooooo lucky as I got a no-point warning for excessive speed and a $71.00 fine for not having my license updated since having eye surgery.

Current fee shed-youall is as follows:

15-19 mph over is $158.00
20-29 mph over is $178.50
30+ costs you $260.00

Anybody out there whose license is endorsed with "corrective lenses" and has had Lasik or PRK make sure to get a certificate to the effect and get your DL updated....I had no idea it was a fineable offense, but I guess I'm lucky it was.
