Well lets see how many versions of the Mustang there are now:
V6 Coupe/Convt./Deluxe/Pony Package GT Coupe/Convt./Deluxe/Calif. Special/H "Hertz" edition Shelby GT Shelby GT500 This can all be attributed to Ford, who unlike GM, can actually afford to get caught up in a pony car run.

back in 1965/6 Hertz rental car would allow you to 'rent a racer', a GT350 Shelby in black with gold racing stripes with GT350-H on the lower door/fender. Hertz and Ford brought the concept back.

Yeah, but this time we know they are/were passing off mules instead of pure-bred ponys. One ride in a BMW, MB, Porsche (even Audi) redefines your opinion of what a 'muscle' car should be.

More than anything, I'm just glad the factories are focusing on what I think they should. FAST CARS!
Enough of this, 300 airbags/3000 cupholders BS. Give me a fast car with zero options. If I'm hot, I'll roll down the winders and speed up (4-40 A/C!).

Too true. I love my Bimmer, and am looking to buy another in the future, but I also want some American muscle (to drive to church in, natch...).
