My sisters boyfriend almost died today.
He was VERY lucky, had he been changing the tire he would be dead now.

That actually happend to my ex's dad. He was changing a tire on the side of the highway, when walking back to the car, he tripped and fell into the road. A tractor trailer ran over him and kept going. Luckly there were whitnesses. Lucky after a long stint in the hospital he is ok. But stories like these def make me change lanes when I see people stopped on highways.

rule #1: NEVER change a tire on the side of a road. Drive that flat tire off the road to a parking lot or somwhere safe.. screw the wheel, thats why you got a spare for and your life is never worth the risk...
glad your friends survived that accident... but do tell them about the rule above...

Thank God he is alright. A few years back a girl i was friends with was driving home from college she got a flat tire. Got out to change and got run over and died on the seen. It was horrible.

My current part time gig is flying the traffic helo for DC/Balt...seen the results of a similar accident from the air at least 4 times this summer, 2 were fatal. Glad your friend made the move when he did.

Glad he's OK. Fate is scary. You never when it's your time to go, or in this case, not your time. If I were him, I be making good friends with a barstool tonight.

Jeez not good.
The advice from traffric cops here in the UK is if broken down for whatrever reason never ever stay in the car. Everyone out of the car and as far away as possible on the banking behind if possible behind any safety barrier.
