They both just ripped off Xerox, so the history of stealing from others was already set...

Apple purchased the GUI from Xerox, and that was the template for the "Lisa" a complete flop I might add, but that was the beginning.

Why?
Anyone here runs 64bit apps essential for your business, or bragging rights perhaps?
I personally will not subjugate myself as a MS' Guinea Pig (AKA biatch) while they are getting their bugs fixed and have legit reason to upgrade it. If I have taken a job being an application developer different story.

I am not being a party pooper but just curious.

You obviously havn't used Vista. Aero? Gadgets? Many new vista features are carbon copy's of Mac OS 10...

Apple never purchased the GUI from Xerox. Steve and others were invited to Xerox PARC and witnessed the first GUI. What happened from then on is history.

I don't necessarily agree that Lisa was a flop. Because it was priced at around $10,000, few consumers could afford it - which never made it quite the consumer success that Apple had hoped for...

Didn't Bill do the same thing when he "purchased" DOS? As I recall he scammed some poor guy out of the OS for a few thousand bucks, Hooked IBM up with the it, then proceeded to make a new version MSDOS and backwards engineer the BIOS and made a couple-a-hundred billion.

Those were some interesting times, I never owned a PC, I am a Apple guy. but I think the Computer industry would not be as interesting if it was not for the personalities of Bill and Steve.
