Can someone explain the details of how fantasy football works? I'm a huge sports fan, but I have never done this sort of thing and I have no understanding of what happens and how it all works. Perhaps a "fantasy football for dummies" lesson would be appreciated? I may be interested.

you should ask if someone would volunteer to drop out instead. 14 team leagues are not nearly as fun as 12 team leagues. (i have done both) the talent is so much more diluted that you have to end up starting backups at rb and wr, and getting zero points out of players is no fun. also, the draft order provides a bigger advantage at the top (in my opinion). if you're drafting 13 or 14, not only will you not get a top 10 rb, but you will also not have access to the top 1 or 2 wr's. just my 2c

i'll try and explain. basically, ur the owner of the team.
this coming wednesday, is our draft. there are a set #
of positions that u must fill during the draft. basically, u
pick ur players in the draft and each week, u can mix and
match ur players according to whom they might be facing
in the real NFL world. for example, if u pick Tom Brady and
Farve as ur QB's. naturally, u don't want to play Brady during
the week of 10/15/06 because the Patriots don't play; therefore,
u would get 0 points in ur WB position for that week.

Which positions do you "fill" each week, and how are points determined? Also, what is the total makeup of each team?
