The reality is that war is about money. It's about the huge defense contracts, rebuilding & construction contracts, etc. Why buy the Israeli system when we can pay more to an American company to develop the same thing?

We've reached a point in this country where the Defense Dept. serves as the "Corporate Welfare Dept.", with the goal being to give as much of our taxpayer dollars to these large corporations. Defense policies are then designed around justifying the highest budget possible.

The defense budget has doubled over the last 10 years. Last year we spent (wasted) over $500 billion on defense, more than the rest of the world put together.
