Local BMW Service Dept uses Caller ID to identify existing customers

I thought it was neat that when I called the local BMW Service Dept today to schedule an appt and a lady picked up the phone and said "Good morning Mr. XXXXX".
They must have a Caller ID that ties into their customer database.

or they just have caller ID and it said your name on her phone

bmw has that new OnStar like service, where the government has the right to listen in on your in-vehicle conversations, even if you're not on the phone. In BMW's case, due to superior German engineering, they've extended the range of the listening device.
