Past Due Traffic Ticket...Yikes!!!!!

So I got a ticket a few months back for not coming to a complete stop at a sign, I totally forgot to pay it off and now I got a mail from the court to pay off the bail amount

The original payoff was $150...and the bailamount in the letter is for $709, and I checked the bill on lasuperiort.org looked up my citation and the bill there is $409...why is there two different amounts? Also, does anyone here know if I can still in anyway possible enroll for traffic school, the original date I had to complete traffic school by was 10/4, but somewhere I heard if you don't make the payment on time they won't let you enroll in traffic school. Gggrrrr I can't believe I forgot to pay this off...this is the last thing I need!!!

Moving violation and your case must have come up on the docket already and the LEO showed up at court that day. You should call them and ask them what the deal is cause $300 is a big ass discrepancy between the amounts you allegedly owe.

GL!

Bail plus ticket plus additional late fees is your amount so it is correct.. at this pt.. I would pay it. Traffic school is not going to fly since you already missed the date. Did u have a court date scheduled? missing that is contempt which is bad.. You might also want to hire a lawyer.

No the date for traffic school was by 10/4 October, but I was told that if you miss your traffic payment then you are no longer eligible to take traffic school, which I hope was an incorrect statement....anyways I'll call them tommorow and see what the deal is
