Cool Frampton comes alive...again

I heard Frampton do an instrumental version of Soundgarden's black hole sun on the radio this morning. Very Hendrix sounding guitar. I give it a I wish I was driving some twisties when I heard it though. Listening to Nugent's Stranglehold as I type this. It's going to be a good day. You understand, don't you Asawadude, Doc, Bueller, anyone?

Thought it was worth sharing.

Note to self: Find a way to get paid for listening to tunes while driving the X.

Another Michigan homeboy!
I used to love listening to WRIF when "Uncle Ted" would guest host. Too cool.

Mitten state...

I doubt it, ...and, we'd probably arm wrestle over the tune selection
and play list.

During college I lived with a couple of other guys in Manhatten Beach on PCH and we were blasting music at all hours of the day (or night). Stranglehold was one of our anthems. I get flashbacks listening to it, but it's not quite the same without a hash pipe or a bong.

The guy who lived in the apartment below us owned absolutely gorgeous yellow DeTomaso Mangusta with a 351 Cleveland engine that he ran with headers and straight pipes. Absolutely the loudest daily driver street car I've ever heard. Our apartments were up over the garages, so whenever he fired up his Mangusta, the entire apartment building would shake. I wonder the Mangusta still exists.

Getting back to Frampton, he's got some concert dates lined up across the country through the rest of the year according to his website. I'm sure his audiences will be full of baby boomers like me. Nov 4 - Cerritos Performing Arts Center.

Frampton is on my radio show this week. Next Wednesday. Call in if you're a fan.
The Nuge was on on a few weeks ago.
