Do i want to compress my old files on Windows Disk Cleanup??
Should i do this? Will it make my computer runs faster or is it just a way to free up some hard disk space? I have over 50g of free space left It says i have 7,720,000kb of compressable files. Thanks Pete

I don't think it will make your computer run faster, it will just free up space. If you have available space, don't compress. If you access a compressed file in the future, it may take longer to open/run.

i say dont compress as it will take several hours depending on the size of your disk and it will not really make much difference except compress files so in essence it will take you longer to access certain files since they will have been compressed

in english dont compress because it will take too long to do it and it will slow down the machine when compressed files will be reuiqred
