Unhappy hit-n-run :(

hey guys-

so my dad was awesome enough to let me trade cars with him for 2 weeks: as a result, he's got my X5 up in the Bay Area and I've got his Porsche C4S down here in SD.

well. tonight i was parked at an intersection in downtown SD waiting for my buddy. just as he got in the car, we're about to pull away, and next thing we know -- SCRAAAAAPE/CRUNCH/BANG!!!!! -- an SUV had come flying round the corner at the intersection, making a right-hand turn, and in so doing, had clipped the front-left bumper of the Porsche.

hit-n-run ... never found them.

what now ? is it a no-brainer as far as insurance goes?

and the thing that REALLY sucks ....... the paint was still curing from a paint job that Sonnen Porsche had hooked us up with just 2 weeks ago to clean up some nicks the bumper had sustained from the prior owner so basically now it looks like smeared/streaked paint. not certain whether there's any bumper damage.

also: strangely, the left blinker wasn't working -- although it started working again, strangely.

I hope you got a police report.... if not..... well, you're screwed.

I was wondering the same thing...I would've thought a P car could run down an SUV and get a plate ID. Either way, sux.
