How can you have a lawsuit for greenhouse gases against some car manufacturers but not all that are allowed in the country? Cali needs to take some time out from the sun and have a glass of water......INSANITY.

I live in California and obviously I get no understanding of this silly suit..

If there was any reality to it, wouldn't the state also be able to sue, MAC truck and their counterparts.. What about all the airplane manufacturers like Boeing, etc..

Sounds like some Jerk off is trying to make some headlines with a pseudo event.

Sounds rediculous to me as well.

What they should do is continue to require the car manufacturers to produce cars that get better gas milleage. They have really lead the country in this regard and cars are getting better milleage today than 10 years ago mostly due to laws passed in California.

Considering how much fuel airplane's burn in a single trip. Wouldn't time be better spent regulating how fuel efficient planes are?

I'm all for more fuel efficent vehicles but some of those planes in the air are 30-40 years old.. I bet you they are much worse for the enviorment than a 10 year old SUV.

I'm not sure if they can do that. Cars are sold and registered in a specific state. I have a feeling that if California law required higher fuel standards for passenger planes, they would just sell and register the planes in other states. I think something like this would have to be regulated by the Federal Government, perhaps the FAA.

Chinese and Indian Coal Power Plants are the one who needs to be used, but neither we have jurisdiction over there, nor they have the deep pockets like automakers.

Perhaps, new green governers campaign strategy?

Positive note should be that it brings awareness to public ont he problems we are facing. Still looks like it is still out of desperation.
