Jaguar S-Type

Ok so my best friend Mandy drives a 2002 X-type (not a very car at all btw) but she does love the Jag Look, so she had decided to buy another CPO S-type but asked me to ask around about them, she wants a 2003-2004 range (cheaper) in 3.0L (v6) same as her X-type's engine, how are they? I've never been a fan and because of that never looked at them?

My dad has a 2000 S-type 3.0. That was the first year they made them, and surprisingly he has had very few problems with it.

I remember once his radio display went dead and they replaced the radio under warranty. And the window regulators on both front windows went dead -- both happened after his warranty was over, but Jaguar still agreed to pay for the parts both times. My dad had to pay for the labor. Other than that, I don't think he has had any problems.

And they are pretty durable. My dad is a beast with his car. He beats on it. I doubt he has ever had it waxed or detailed, and he takes it through an automatic car wash about once per month. I'm not sure if he has ever even cleaned the interior, and it still is in very good shape. The exterior paint still looks good. The interior leather is a bit soft, so his drivers seat shows some wear from getting in and out all the time. But other than that it's in good condition.

Hope this helps.
