Blue Mountain is great stuff! I picked some up last March when I was in the Caymans. I'm not a fan of Starbucks' acidic coffee. Italian espresso is the bomb, too. I'll take a Lavazza over SB any day.

Thanks, Juan. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this unit uses the pre-ground pod-type coffees, does it not? The one my friend has keeps whole beans stored and grinds them fresh per use on demand. Which type do you have?

I know this is way off topic to X5's, but I've always gotten good feedback from you guys (meaning guys and gals).

TIA!

I use the Keurig and absolutely love it. You need to experiement and find the coffee K-Cups you like. There are dozens of varieties available form great companies like Green Mountain, Diedrich, Tully's, Gloria Jeans, Timothy's, Coffee People, etc. The Keurig is maily for coffee, if you want other coffee drinks you need to decide between pods and beans, and how much you want to spend. There are machines in all price ranges. Check out the links below.

Good luck and let us know what you decide on. I'm looking at getting a Nespresso soon.

Thanks. Not looking for pods, definitely beans (one that stores them and grinds 'em on demand). I want coffee, espresso, cappuccino/lattes. I'm looking to spend a few bucks on a nice machine that will last and perform well through the years. I'm not looking for plastic.

Are there ones where you can easily switch to a different kind of bean? Say, between an American-style coffee vs. an espresso roast, or a caff vs. decaf?

After living in Italy for 3 years and having Lavazza, Segafredo and a lot of others served to me in various forms...then moving to the states and going through multitudes of drip machines, stove top Bialettis (great btw)...and managing to enjoy my friends Jura Capresso machine...not to mention my own incessant grinding, storing, perfecting the perfect cup of java every morning...

I can honestly say that all that has been now forgotten and replaced by my Nespresso unit. It makes great espresso and coffee. Laugh all you want at the pods but they are awesome. Zero mess. Minimal space taken on my counter top. They have different strengths...but their limited edition coffee right now is awesome.

People that know my coffee habits of the past can't believe that I have switched to the pods...neither can I sometimes...but I have. I too was once a doubter...now I'm a convert.

Take it from a former coffee geek snob...the Nespresso pods are awesome...if you don't believe me...surf on over to coffeegeek.com and read the reviews...
