My artsy photo

Just got back tonight from a jaunt into the Smoky Mountains. I was delighted with the performance of my new Canon pocket camera (SD700is). I am NOT very artistic, and am constantly amazed at the talents of those who are (MD and others). Here is my one attempt at being "artsy".

Also, I forgot to mention seeing a convoy of 8-10 hard-top X4's, led by two BMW motorcycles, on the "Tail of the Dragon" (US 129) at the NC/TN border. If any of you have driven this area, you will know why it is called the Dragon. It has 318 curves in 11 miles. When I had finally made it through and stopped for gas, I noticed one biker stop just after me and he was literally shaking with residual adrenaline/fear.

Put some tits and ass in that photo and I'll give it my vote for photo of the week.

Nice pic STATDOC. How do you like the Image Stabilizer function of the SD700IS? I was thinking of picking up one of these for a quick point & shoot.

It works incredibly well. The first shots I took were at my son's soccer game a week or so ago. Very sharp, even when zoomed in from ~40-50 meters away. Action frozen solid. All this on auto mode. I haven't even bothered to use any manual features.

I think it's a great shot Doc (the artsy one, not the manboobs)

318 twisties in 11 miles, Sounds like heaven to me.
