Suggestions, don't really know what to do. (winter tred)
Last November I bought a set of winter wheels/tires from a friend. The tires are studable Nokian Hakkapeliitta 2's. Let me tell you, these tires are amazing when it comes to grip in snow, slush, etc to the point I was driving the M3 in conditions where most people would say oh hell no in regular cars and SUVs even. Nicole can attest to how the car handled since they were on when I drove out here and I happened to be here for a "snow storm"
Anyway, here's the thing, Z-rated summer tires SUCK under 40/45 as I found out first hand last November. The Hakka's are great, but KILL my gas mileage and there really isn't that much snow in OK and AR. I was thinking about unmounting the Hakkas, selling them, and getting a set of Kumho or Sumitomo all-season and putting them on. I know this is what my mechanic back in VA ran in the winter and he had no issues. Just really don't know if it's worth all the hassle of unmounting, shipping, buying, mounting, etc... and most importantly, coming out even or on top money wise. Thoughts? Of course, if the e90 is a 5x120 bolt pattern with the same offset as an e36 M3 Hmmmmmmmm
