26 or 32 LCD TV

I want to get a new 26 or 32 LCD tv.

It seems like you can by a China made Westinghouse for $700

or go with a Sony for about $1,200 to $1,600.

I always liked Sony but its about twice the cost.

Any sugestions or should I just wait another six months to a year?

Have you looked at Samsung lately? I believe you will find excellent models for very competitive prices compared to sony.

I think you should wait at least 2 years.

The Samsung and Sony both use the same panel just different electronics. Go look at the westinghouse and you will see why the Sony is so uch more money. The contrast and processing on the cheap no name units is horrible. The pictures look washed out and the color detail is horrible. It's simple you get what you pay for.

If your patient you should wait until all LCD's come equipped with 1080p...which will be able to fully support blu-ray dvd players

I rushed in and bought a 1080i Panasonic Plasma only to find out that their just now coming out with 1080p Plasma's and LCD's

1080i Plasmas and LCD's have already been out...now their slowing starting to come out with 1080p Plasmas/LCD's..I'm guessing by 6-8 months most companies will have 1080p...my friend just bought a Sony LCD 1080p from Costco for $3500

Guess I should wait.

The big plus is that I don't have cable and with HDTV you get more than one channel from the provider. For example in NYC you get 13 13.1 and 13.2

Yea you should...I wish I had the patience to wait...or just buy a TV from Costco and when the 1080p TVs flood the market return your LCD and get a new one! I think they give you up 6 months to return a TV w/out box and give you full credit, that's what my friends does
