United States Qualify for World Cup

The United States overpowered Uruguay 33-7 at Stanford on Saturday to qualify for the World Cup in France in the American zone.
The United States led 18-7 at half-time then cruised to victory in the second half to reach their fifth World Cup after appearances in 1987, 1991, 1999 and 2003.
The United States will be in a group with England, South Africa, Samoa and one more country to be determined.
The Americans beat Uruguay 42-13 in the first leg of their two-game qualifying series in Montevideo the previous Saturday.

Do you mean the rugby World Cup.

If it's some type of world sporting event, my money is on whomever is playing against the U.S. We suck at these international competitions.

Yes. Sorry, down here we just assume that everyone knows that..... not much in to that round ball stuff....

Wallabies are coming over shortly to play Tests against Italy, Ireland and Scotland plus fixtures against Ireland A, Scotland A, Welsh team Ospreys and the Barbarians.

I like rugby watch the world cup and the six nations but that's about it.

don't think the USA will go much further than group stages as they are in Pool A against England, South Africa

Cool! Another venue where we can see the US fall on its face. Don't you see the pattern here guys: US qualifies, then loses.

Ahh, you should try catching up on the Super 14 matches. They are almost test standard, and down in the Southern hemisphere they play a much faster style of running rugby.

I follow the wallabies all the time, last world cup I flew from one side of the country to the other to see them play against Scotland. After the match it was party time in Brisbane...... I've never seen so many kilts and painted faces in one place!!

next year the lovely wife and I are doing a World Cup tour inc games and visiting a few places through France.

You will enjoy it. Do not forget to visit the south and the capital of French Rugby, Toulouse with its great Rugby team 'Stade Toulousain'. I spent 5 years and 3 teeth

playing rugby in Toulouse during my college years loooong ago. Good luck for the wallabies
