which octane do you put in your loaner?

Hi everyone,

Just took my car in to get serviced and got an X3 loaner. I was wondering which grade do you put in? It says premium fuel only, but I have a feeling people have put in lower grades since I don't think it runs as smoothly as it should (unless that's how the 3.0 is supposed to run). TIA.

Always put in 91 in a 91 vehicle regardless of who's it is! What goes around comes around, you may end up buying a vehicle that someone else has not bothered being responsible for.

With the loaners at Murray Motors in Denver you don't need to fill it up!

I treat a loaner car as if it is my own and put in the fuel the manufacturer required

Since I only get Enterprise loaners from my dealer, I refill them with the cheapest 87 I can find.

If I get a loaner BMW then it gets 91 octane. If I get any other brand that requires 91, it get s 87.
