You heard one statement out of context. I heard the entire thing last week, and he was definately not even talking about the troops but was making a joke about George Bush being stupid. After listening to the whole thing, I don't even think anyone with any intelligence could interpret it otherwise. But the Republicans, knowing that most people are more in tuned with hearing a short 10-second sound byte than with listening to a long speech, ran with their own version of it. I guess they were hoping it would make an impact on election day. Apparently nobody really cared.

You have got to be joking..... it wasn't some misinterpreted sound bite, nor some tiny little comment as part of some huge speech, he went off script and tried to be cute and he got himself in trouble... heres the video :

I don't have to listen to the entire "speech" to hear complete ignorance on his part and I'm a disabled Veteran and have a niece over there in Iraq right now. Don't care 2 much 4 the one in office either but at least he's not bashing those that are serving or have served this country. We all can't be rich and have everything handed to us, like college, photograpy in Vietnam, etc... but decide to serve our country on our own accord and take advantage of every opportunity within the military while we're there and even get a college degree! Look at the picture again, I think most here are missing the humor and point. SUPPORT YOUR TROOPS! Remember, it's because of them that you have a right to your opinion.

It's those that have not served their country that speak the loudest on their political views. Until they know WTH it's like to lose friends during combat then they should be the ones that need to

And once again, I listened to the entire thing, and once again, no one has to listen to the entire thing to understand what he said. It is not a misquoted sound bite as the political spin machine would like everyone to believe, and you seem to have swalled hook/line/sinker for some reason.
