Finally I saw Brokeback mountain on HBO

I skimmed through the movie using my DVR, took me 20 min or so. I didn't catch the making out part, but I felt it was a very artistic love story nothing appalling behind.
You are right Blondboi, sorry I jumped into conclusion few month back. Those cowboys are pretty cool. Are there real gay men like that out there? Did they kill gay in Texas and people turn their backs on hate crime including the victims wives in 1978?
It is not cool at all to hurt people because they are different.
Since they are not available to females out there, their loss is our gain, hehehe.

LOL it is a great movie aside from the fact they wear couture jackets throughout the movie which drove me nuts! LOL Its a great love story about how wonderful love can really be, and yes unfortunatly tolerance is something more recent, in fact ignorance is still quite present in texas, saddly hence why it is on my list of states to not visit

Actually, the wardrobes for the main characters were picked up at a vintage clothing store in Calgary. No couture

Banff or Whistler Blackcomb....such a tough decision

I'm hoping to make it back to Whistler in '07

If you liked the scenery and are looking for a great place for a winter ski vacation or summer mountain vacation, it was filmed entirely here in southern Alberta near Calgary. I have the good fortune of driving daily to work in the mountains near where it was filmed (Canmore/Kananaskis region), and it's one of the most awe inspiring, beautiful places in the world.

These links talk about the areas where it was filmed, from a tourism perspective. http://www1.travelalberta.com/en-sou...&FeatureId=236 and http://www.canadream.com/pages/speci...kmountain.aspx The top photo in the second link is on the shoulder of Moose Mountain, which is a popular hiking and mountain biking destination for Calgarians.

If it sounds like I'm promoting the area... it's because I am . I run the international sales program here for the largest residential resort development project in Canada, just west of Calgary and right in the middle of where all the mountain scenes in the movie were filmed www.tsmv.ca. It's accessible by direct flights from all major North American cities and most major European cities (less than 3 hours from Los Angeles). If you want to check out the opportunities for recreational/residential properties in the area, take a look at www.tsmv.ca. Okay, okay.... I've made my pitch. Carry on.
