I've seen blue, red, green, and other colors on the E90 and E46. (Not necessarily in person.) It's just plain silly.

OT: I'll call you next week re: SF Mini Meet.

IMO, the blue ones you often see like from Umnitza are fine, and in fact I really like them. Any other color is just plain tacky.

Any color is asking for a ticket. Perhaps a slightly bluish color would not get you in trouble but if it's a true blue, that will lead to tickets. Red would not only be a quick ticket but could be quite dangerous.

The sites that sell that stuff always make sure to specify that those colors are for demonstration or off-road use only.

I wanted to get the red angel eyes but everyone told me to avoid it just because of the tickets. I know it would look great on my car, but it's not worth getting tickets for it.

I've seen some E60s and E90s that switched the angel eye bulb to a more blueish color to match the xenons. I think it looks good, and I doubt you'd get pulled over.

Maybe in your area........around here, the cops will usually only cite you for vehicle mods if they catch you for something else first, i.e. speeding. Then again, thats just around here....... There are lots of BMWs (esp. M3s) with the bluish (btw I didnt mean like, a deep blue, cuz I've never seen those in person) angel eyes, a zillion cars with no front license plate including our X3 (req. in MD), a zillion cars with illegal tint, a zillion cars with noise and/or exhaust violations.......yah the list goes on. Around here, as long as you dont cause trouble, the cops care less.

We suggest hyperwhite like Predator ICE because it won't get the wrong kind of attention!
