Help with my Audi

Can anyone tell me where or how I might chase down a leak in my 02-03 S6? Everytime it rains hard, the front pass. side floor gets wet. It doesnt happen when I wash the car, just when it rains hard. This just started. The headliner is not wet, no leaks in the windshield, no damage to car. Any suggestions b4 I head to Riverside Audi?

Had a similar problem with an Accord, turned out it was the cowling along the hood. Have you had any work done on your windshield? Try getting a flashlight and looking under the dash, check where the leak is running down into the carpet.

Yeah, I had the windshield replaced like 6mos. ago. Why water now? As soon as it gets clear, I'll flashlight the cowl......

Bingo, they most likely forgot to replace some of the plastic retainers or it fell out after 6 months. This is done almost routinely with after-market windshield people like "Safelite Auto Glass".

If you can locate the issue, take it to a dealer and ask for the part...shouldn't be too bad.

in your case mostlikely is the windshield change, but in other cars sometimes the weatherstrip at the bottom of the door gets too used up, pulled or whatever and does make water get in only when rains hard
