Mars Rovers going strong

An engineering triumph IMO. Originally designed to last 90 days the rovers are going into their 4th year of operation. I think it would be fun to work for NASA or JPL. Maybe in my next life.

Well as a Canadian I'm not too proud of this latest decision from Ottawa:

Ottawa won't back Canadian-built Mars rover

Yeah, that would be cool.... Anybody know if they do random drug testing?

That's sad... world leading technology having the 'plug pulled' on it. Seems like the AVRO Arrow all over again.

I was thinking the exact same thing! Many of the Canadian scientists working on the AVRO project went south to work for NASA after they canned it.
