Thumbs up

Sorry, I didn't reply sooner.

As you already know, it was a 5.6 at Anza (about 20 miles south of Palm Springs area) at 8:41 AM

My wife felt it (it was her first experience!)
Apparently, it shook pretty hard , but nothing damaged and everything is intact.

The earthquake hit while I was on my way to work to the hospital this AM on the I-10 freeway and that wonderful BMW M3 suspension absorbed it all and I didn't even know we had an earthquake until she paged me and told me. I think it lasted a few seconds, but it was intense.

People in the hospital really felt it "rocking", especially @ the higher floors (we have 5 floors).

Hopefully PNG is still @ Anaheim....

Anyhow, we are fine and I haven't felt the 20+ aftershocks.

Okay, gotta get back to work.

Thanks for asking. All clear here at HQ. It was rockin' pretty good for sure. I must admit that I was still getting my beauty sleep when it hit but it woke my tired ass up. The blinds were smacking back and forth and anything unsecured was shaking. It lasted quite a long while and had both a sharp jolt and a rolling sensation. I just laid there in bed hoping the world wasn't coming to an end. I should sleep with my Kevlar helmet on. (Yes, I do have one.)

It brought back memories of the Northridge quake on January 17, 1994 when I was living in West L.A. That was a doozie!
