Attaching a file
The specifics of attaching a file to an email message vary from one email program to the next. For the exact steps for a particular email program, consult the program's user manual, help files, or one of the links listed below. In general, here's how you attach a file to an email message.

• Note the name of the file you want to attach and where it is located on your computer.
• Open a new email message.
• Complete the email message as usual (subject, recipients, and text).
• Click on the attach icon (often a picture of a paperclip) on your menu bar, or select the appropriate menu option to attach a file.
• In the file attachment dialog box or window, select the file you want to attach. Click on Attach or Insert, as the case may be.
• You should be able to view an icon or text of the file you just attached to verify that it is there. You can also click on the icon to open the file and verify that it is the correct file.
• If you have more than one file to send, repeat this process for each individual file.
• Send the message.

Thanks: I guess I didn't word my request properly so i appreciate the answer. Actually i was having trouble finding the Database file i needed to attach. It appears that in windows this database file comes up in more than a few different ways. One way wasn't having it. The next path did the trick.

Now i have to go back and see what i did because i already forgot how i found the file to attach. Dumb Dumb Dumb

Oh yes i used search with the proper path and bingo, down the list of files, there it was. Select the file and under file go the "send to"
then e-mail recpt. done. Wow i haven't done that in years but i'm running this Windows program within XP on my Mac and it has been doing funny stuff. Now the creator of the program says "It sounds like a real issue with your installation. Please send me a copy of your errors.dbf file". I haven't say a word yet but his program installed itself so the real issue is how his program installed itself.
