question for the philly guys

I'm going to a week long training class by Bryn Mawr College in 2 weeks and need a recommendation for a hotel that is in a safe area... i.e. one that I can drive to and not worry about my X5 getting vandalized again.

The Radnor was recommended by the conference center, any thoughts?

Thanks in advance...

It's been 9 years since I've been in Philly, but from my recollection, Radnor shoud be a safe place. You will in the Main Line area which is a decent area. Stay away from North Philly, South Philly, and Center City is like NYC....some good area, some bad. However, the "Main Line area" is generally safe.

The Radnor Hotel will be fine. Call when when you're there and I'll buy you a milkshake. My office is in Bryn Mawr. 610.542.2936.

Too bad you're not going to be at this Saturdays East Meet 2005 at my house.

Yo, Gresch - I just checked your address - ARE you coming to my place Saturday? Consider it. A bunch of NYC guys are coming down and Dave Z will be there.

Thanks for the invite, I did consider it when I saw the original discussion, but my parents are coming over for Fathers Day. Sorry to miss it...

Radnor and Bryn Mawr are fine areas, nothing to worry about. Not difficult to get into the city from there either.

And watch it Kewl... born and raised in South Philly, 5 blocks from Pat's and Geno's Ok, so maybe I do get a little nervous when I visit my parents and have to park the X or the M on the street

I was just at Pat's 2 weeks ago, had to go to Sungard on Broad St and decided to take a couple of guys that work for me to lunch at Pat's. That's one tough looking neighborhood over there... but damn, 2 cheese-wit's and a big coke and that's some good eats!

Tony Luke's is so much better than Pat's and Geno's, located on Front and Oregon.

I used to play football in that park across from Pat's with friends when I was a kid.
