Congrats on the M3 Cab; Great car indeed. My Wife and I looking at that same car ourselves as new garage-mate for our X5; just having a hard time deciding between the M3 cab or a 996 cab, though..

well. apparently an XM receiver -- which i like as i already had an XM subscription -- was already installed for the CD changer auxiliary input. so where can the ipod go?

XM Direct will work as long as you do not have NAV. Otherwise, you only have Sirius as a choice.
