IE 7 experience & please NO Firefox vs. IE discussion

Okay, Firefox users, glad you like Firefox.

Anyhow without getting into a discussion of IE v. Firefox, how is everyone's experience with IE7 so far.

Just installed it on my work computer so I can try it out before putting on my home computer & laptop.

Speedwise, seems to be the same. Tabbed browsing is welcomed (yes, I know it has been on Firefox). Well, at least I can see xoutpost.com and that is what counts the most!!

Takes a little getting used to, but I like it. I had been using Firefox at work a bit, so it was an easy transition.

In 1993 I started with Netscape 2.0, and used that until Netscape 4 or 5, and switched to IE4 when it first came out ... I've been with IE since then.

I was running the IE7 Beta for a while, and while it had some glitches, it worked brilliantly. My ONLY complaint with IE7 -- and I've installed in on two computers now -- is that on none of my machines, my desktop, embedded videos rarely work anymore. Also, I don't like how whenever you mouseover a macromedia animation or control, the bounding box of that control hilights. Weird.

That said, here's the equation for the fastest, cleanest computer:

clean install windows xp sp 2 + all windows updates + windows one care live + ie7 = perfect operating system.

Every so often it locks up and I have to stop the process. Also after logging out of certain web sites it refuses to let me log back in unless I open a new instance as a new tab won't work.

I've been using it for about a month without any glitches. Only problem encountered was not directly IE 7 related. It seems there are sites out there with browser sniffing code that checks for IE versions 4, 5, 5.5 and 6 rather than just checking for version > 4.

Been using IE7 for a while now.

It OK however it tends to crash when you close tabs. I don't know if others are having the same problem?

HELP!

How can I make AIM and MSN Messenger open tabs within my existing window instead of pulling a new IE window altogether?

I used IE7 in an internet cafe once, and I didn't like the fact it did not have a "file" or "edit" or whatever at the top. I kept going up there only to find that nothing existed.
Other than that, for the brief time I used it, it worked pretty well.
