Mac users, chime in please?

I have two questions:

1) I had a meeting today for admitted students that are going to U-Tampa. Someone asked a question regarding what kind of computer you need. For the business program, which I'm doing, apparently some of the programs they use only run on Windows. I need a new computer anyway, because I'm running out of room on my iBook. I was thinking of getting a MacBook Pro, and running Mac OS X and Windows on it. Is anyone here doing that? Is it complicated to run Windows and Mac on the same one? For example, how do you choose which operating system to log in to? Any info you all have on how to use it, how to do it, if it's easy, etc. would be greatly appreciated!

2) Is there any online place for Mac similar to the MSN game zone? Sometimes when I'm bored I wish I could go on there and play Bejeweled, or Blackjack or Poker or something.. Is there a website/application/widget or something I could download that is similar?

You could use Bootcamp but this..... http://www.parallels.com/en/products/desktop/..... is all you need. I mean it. I have an intel 24inch imac and this is da Bomb. How does it work? It just does. You do need a version of XP ( I believe Vista works also but stick with XP for now)

1) You can use Bootcamp which is Apple's solution to switch between both OS's... Hold down option on the Mac chime to pick.

The other solution would be to buy Parellels and run Windows within Mac OS X.

2) They make Bejewled for mac. There are other better java websites out there which don't force you to be on a PC like MSN game zone... I bet your gaming needs could be satisfied with dashboard widgets...

Parallels seems like the way to go. However, when Leopard comes out (Soon, correct? Some time this spring?) aren't they supposed to have an easier, more refined version of Bootcamp included? I guess I should wait and see... Thank you for your advice, guys.

So it just runs in a window, within OS X? That looks incredible!
Do you run into any issues with having a one button mouse, when on Windows you're supposed to have two?

Yep and yep. It does some stuff thats hard to believe. . If I had a one button mouse there would be no problem because the option, apple key and control key serve as the 2nd button. Here are some highlights. But do yourself a favor and go to the Mac store and hang out for a demo.

Highlights

Run your favorite Mac and Windows applications at the same time without rebooting

Seamlessly connect to any network in both Mac OS and Windows using a shared network connection

Achieve a high level of performance for Windows on your Mac by leveraging Intel technology - an industry leading solution available on Parallels Software

Copy and paste items between your Mac desktop and your Windows desktop

Quickly create multiple virtual machines by using the new Parallels Installation Assistant

Create “Active” backups by using Parallels Desktop for Mac in conjunction with Parallels Compressor

Achieve optimal virtual machine performance and reduce disk space by 50% or more with the new Parallels Compressor

I'm running on fumes on my iBook too. More things are starting to go wrong.
But the new MB Pro is pretty nice. Wait until Leopard to come out, though.
I haven't heard any bad things about Bootcamp or Parallels.
Good luck!

edit: lol. we posted at the same time. I think Leopard is coming out in the next few months. Before summer.

Wasn't it originally supposed to be out last fall? I've looked at the sneak peek on apple.com and it looks like it will be worth the wait, though.

I just don't want to re-boot to run windows. And Parallels dosen't seem to have any drawbacks as of yet. But then I'm not a power user so my opinion can't count for much.
