Talking BMW Performance Driving School

Hello Everyone,

Has anyone out there been to the BMW Performance Driving School in SC? I am getting the opportunity to go next week and wanted to here about it from some one that has been. Its the One Day course. Do you get to do some speed driving or is it all just Slalom, cornering stops, and accident avoidance? Thanks for your input.

I got back late last night from one of the best days I have ever had! The day started off in a Z4 with braking on a wet road to learn about the ABS sytem. From there we got into M's and went and did some autocross. From there we went to the skid pad in 650's! This was all just in the morning! After lunch we got back into the Z4's and turned off all the stability controls and did some rat races on a wet oval. This was proboly the best part of the day to me. The 2nd event of the afternoon was time trials on a small road course in the M's agian. IT was 2 laps around the track ending with having to stop in a box that may have been about 3 feet larger than the car. The last event of the day was in the X5's on the off road course. Just when we thought the day was over the instructors pull up in M5's and take everyone on a couple of hot laps around the enitre track! Like I said it was proboly one of the best days I have ever had! I would recommend it to anyone and espically if you have a teenager!

you will love it.

I went to the 2-day M School back in January. Best experience I have had and highly recommend it. We started off with M5s the moved to z4m's then the M6s on the first day. Then on the second it was more of what car do YOU want to drive. I have also done the 2-day regular school like one of the other posts, if you have the opportunity to do the M version, take it, it's a once in a lifetime experience.
