Unless you've been to Iraq you'll NEVER understand what's really occuring there. You liberals push your pacifism yet you wish to ignore the evil that's happening to so many innocent people. If you wish to let the liberal side of the media keep brainwashing you just for political gain you are helping these evil people accomplish their mission. These kind of threads are just a waste, those who are firm will never change their position, me: I will never like bush, think he isn't bought and paid for or the war is not a lie, so why bother?

1. The "liberal media" has very little influence in this country. The liberal media consists of some very tiny independent radio stations, websites, and publications, and their combined readership is an extremely small percentage of the population. Media outlets like Pacifica Radio, Websites like truthout.org, and some small publications like The Nation and From the Wilderness. I'm pretty sure your gripe is with the mainstream corporate media that is very moderate and certainly not liberal, and clearly represents the views of the corporate elite that owns them.

But I can tell you that if they do, then it has been a huge failure as liberals are few and far between in the United States government. I can think of about 20-25 true liberals in congress. The rest are very moderate and conservative, and they do nothing more than serve their corporate paymasters. But I certainly do wish there were more liberals in congress. If there were, we would not have poverty in this country, we would have a decent health care system, there would probably be no terrorism in the world, and we would not be wrapped up in useless and destructive wars.
