It is a vast Left Wing conspiracy...

Some background:

Jeb is very popular and could easily win a thid term if he were allowed. During the recent governor's race, it was no secret that he had no love for Charlie Christ, the former AG who ended up winning the race. Jeb never appeared with Christ, never endorsed, him, just kept a low profile.

Now Jeb, who speaks good Spanish, and is married to a native Spanish speaker (I believe his wife is Columbian, but don't quote me, that is a WAG) could be Presidential material except for the fact that his father and brother have likely created a reality where America just doesn't want another Bush in the White House; the saying in Florida is that "they sent the wrong brother to Washington". Jeb is also hindered by his daughter's collection of mug shots.

In short, because of the tit-for-tat nature of politics, UofF is trying to cozy up to Charlie and they know that Charlie pulls a lot of votes in the surrounding counties...and will shovel a lot of money to the skool...

On a diferent level, all of Jeb's political machine is now deep in the trenches building Mitt Romney's organization, because Romney must win Florida by sheer grass roots and there is no Florida politico who is a possible VP contender who can help carry the state. Jeb would be the only one, but everyone realizes Jeb can't be on the ticket...O/T, but Romney's VP will likely come from California.
