Garmin GPSMAP 478
I just purchase this marine and road GPS unit for $780 at Buy.com.

It looks like a great marine GPS unit and a good price.

Just wanted to let the other members that are boaters know about this GPS unit.

I have owned 8 different Garmins and have never been dissapointed...they make great products and constantly update them.

Yes it looks good and should be a great replacement for my old loran system.

It is water resistant has an internal battery and nice display. It come preloaded with marine and road maps.
