Hi, I'm thinking about doing so just for a peace of mind. for those that have, can the cams see at all at night? Nightvision cams? Thanks.

You can do a search of the net for multiple companies that offer infared cameras for night or day use.

Used a few in my previous ocupation.

I guess my neighbor was cooking up "stuff" and he had a video camera system! He got busted!

I am thinking of installing one myself - No..not a meth lab! A camera system.
I have seen a system at SamsClub it runs about $900.00 - 4 IR weather proof cameras and recording system with monitor. I am still in the initial stages of looking.

I got some good stuff of Ebay. You can get a card to fit in a PCI slot on your PC and link cameras up to, then you can remotely view from anywhere with an Internet connection. It can also record movement in a defined area if you wish.
Something like the following is good for home or small business use.

As for the internet montiering I have also sold Sling boxes for that purpose

I have thought about it many times but have never gotten arouond to doing it many of m neigbors have them though, its a nice to have i would imigine.

I just bought one and I am really happy with quality. Try www.x10.com check out there sale items. Watch out because there is often a better deal farther down on the page. I did a four camera day and night system with Internet monitoring for $269.00. I recommend the ninja mount so you can pan and tilt your camera remotely.

Don't use the X10 wireless as even your neighbors can look at your cams.
