But seriously, the 335i trumps the G37. I mean, come on. You have to admit that. I am not saying it is better than a 911 or anything, but a G37, get real people. I would take a 350z over a G37 anyday. |

I like both the 335i AND the G37 S! Is that sacrilege? Can't I like both? Do I NEED to pick one?
The G35 look is very dated, but the 37S is a sharp-looking ride. And honestly 335 fans should be rooting for more G35/37 sales because it forces BMW to keep their 3-series prices semi-reasonable. More price competition is always good (even if 335i fans don't want to dignify Infiniti by calling it "competition").BTW, I'm too lazy to look up performance numbers. How does the 37 S stack up to the 335i in straight-line? 0 to 60? Quarter-mile? I'll definitely take the 335i for slalom and braking though. |

Thats great we all know that the BMW is better, this being a BMW board, I am not surprised.
Now that that is established should I keep/buy my 2005 X5 4.4 for $27,000 +/- or get the new 335XI? PROS for the X Bigger more space and ability to tow PROS for the 335 A new car A faster sportier car.

I have driven 2 G35's and wasn't impressed with either of them. I have not had the chance to drive a G37 yet, but seeing how underwhelmed I was with previous models dynamics, I am in no hurry to drive the new one. I will when I get a chance just to report back to you. Also, I am not sure what you meant about the cheap plastics of the BMW interior. The Infiniti interior was very disappointing, IMO. It was very much a glorified Nissan interior, which isn't bad, but not up to BMW standards. I personally prefer European luxury over Japanese luxury anyday. Plenty of cheap plastic throughout in the Infiniti as well and very generic looking guages, but whatever. It sounds like you are big into the technology of the G37, which I could care less about. Hey, at least you have a better stereo, nav system, and backup camera (which is friggin worthless in a car). Enjoy the dime-a-dozen, not quite BMW for $8,000 less.
