Where to place cable signal booster?

I know it's usually reco'd to put the booster where the cable signal enters the house...but that's outside. Not really comfortable plugging in the power out there and exposing it to moisture. So should I just put it before it enters the tv then? The other outlets won't benefit from it though. What to do?

are you having picture issues? there should be a distirbution area inside the house as I am sure you have cables that run to more then one room find this (usually on the backside of the wall that the cable enters the structure through) area and hook it up before the signal splitter.

Cut into the main cable inside the house somewhere and "splice" the booster in. Connectors are dirt cheap at The Shack...

btw- are you having signal problems in the house? why are you putting a booster in?

Hmm..I see it entering the backside of the house..outside. I'll take a look in the basement in the same location.

Yes, there are two problems. This is isn't always but does happen multiple times a day: picture freezes w/ macroblock and audio distorts crazily too. Sometimes it's just a white noise sort of problem.

The picture freezing and the pixelation (blocking) will doubtfully be fixed with a signal booster...odds are better that there is something wrong with the cable between your home and the cable box on the street...most likely moisture invasion.
