Yes, with nav you should have got the one with the cassette holder. I dumped that and put in the empty console bin.

believe it or not, the CD holder is actually awesome. i really like it. easy to use and space efficient.

The CD holder was definately better than the cassette holder, no arguements there. Since I rarely use cassettes (my daughters use it once in a while to listen to their figure skating program music) and I removed my CD changer in favor of the iPod/IceLink setup, the empty bin works best for me.

Makes a ton of difference when it's an M3 and not an X5 and you have a helmet on. As for the X5, I don't think I'd get one without a sunroof. Sorry the person you bought from didn't get one. As for an M3, I have one on mine (one day going to get lower seats to take care of head room) but if it was a dedicatied track car, then I'd definitely go without.

All MY03+ have the empty console with NAV.

Call me crazy, but I don't have a sunroof and I honestly don't miss it. I guess it could be a different story though if I was coming from a car that had it.

If I had my pref, my 4.8is would of had a regular roof not pano.

I've special-ordered two 3 series without sunroofs, simply to gain the headroom. They were both ordered with manual seats as well, as that gains another half inch or so. I needed both in a 3 series.

I couldn't buy an E39 without a sunroof (too difficult to order it, when I wanted it) and that was why I got the X5. I am fine in my 2003 X5, but I sat in a new X5 a few weeks ago, with the pano sunroof, and my head was against the headliner.

A regular sunroof usually costs about 1", the pano sunroof seems to use up another .5" or so additional.

I am 6'4". This is all a drag, since I like how a sunroof brightens up a car. With my next vehicle, I am going to investigate getting the seat lowered, some models have kits available.

I have had sunroofs in all of my cars and I especially like a sunroof open on a nice summer night. I did not like the rattle that my sunroof made in my E36 though. It took many, many trips to the dealer to try and fix it without much success. That's the only reason I don't like sunroofs.
