Maryland X5 Owners -- Tag Renewal Fee
I just received my tag renewal notice from the MVA and it's saying I owe $240. Is that right?!?! Did prices go up drastically!?!?!??!! I do not remember paying that much last year!

I thought it was $180, but I'm sure personalized plates/vanity plates cost more.

$180.00 standard for X5 as of 2004
plus, $20.00 for Agricultural plates and another $25 for vanity so...$225.00 THEN, both Ag and Vanity plates carry a yearly additional fee of $5.00...so every two years would be an additional $20 on that...thus $240.00...guessing you haven't had the custom plate as long as the vanity. -- Base on two years: Regular Fee - $180 Vanity - $25 Agricultural - $20 Appended Agricultural fee - $10 Appended Vanity fee - $5.00 (assuming you haven't had it two years yet) Total: $240. http://mva.state.md.us/AboutMVA/FEE/....htm#RegPlates
