New google maps feature today: StreetView.
I can't do a good job explaining it, so here is a demo + video.
It's pretty cool, I hope it comes to Chicago soon.
I was playing around with it, and I was in Miami Beach trying to read a cab's license plate, and when I ever I moved down the street, the cab moved, and I never could get close enough. So obviously it is vehicle based, but I was wondering if it was cab based, because NYC has a lot of cabs, that go a lot of places, and they are all consolidated, whereas Chicago has many private cab companies. Just an idea, though.
It's far from perfect, though, I have had some glitches while using it.
