KING Abdullah, who is also the chairman of the Higher Education Council, has approved a program to allocate 15,000 scholarships for study in the US and 3,000 in some Asian countries.

Announcing this here Monday, Minister of Higher Education Dr Khalid Al-Anqari said this is the largest scholarship program by the government so far.

The program will include doctorate, master’s, fellowship and bachelor degrees, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) report.

Remember RIYADH - The September 11 attacks in which 15 of the 19 suicide hijackers came from Saudi Arabia triggered a torrent of US accusations that the Muslim kingdom’s education system was fostering Islamic extremism.

We've actually paid for the tuition, a tankful at a time.

In any event, better to invest in education and enlightenment than in bombs I suppose.

I think its just an easy way for saudi arabia to get terrorists into our country. I dont trust them one bit. This is bullshit. the 9/11 high jackers were mostly from saudi and most of them had student visas that expired but they just never left. Are you trying to tell me no one else has a problem with leting in 15k saudi students in our country. I can garantee you at least one of them is a terrorist who will join a sleeper ceel and drop off the map once they are here. And you know what that is 1 too many. Its probably more like a couple of hundred out of those 15000 are jihadists. this is bullshit
