The Friday Files

Hello everyone! It has been quite a few weeks since I've written a FF. I apologize for the absence and without going into too much detail, there were some family issues I had to deal with that took my attention away from here. I have only just begun to get back into the X5world swing of things over the past couple of weeks.

BMW stuff:

I went by my local BMW store this past week and checked out the one Alpina B7 they get for the year. It was properly ordered in Alpina Blue with Cream interior. What a striking car! The Alpina trunk spoiler is very nice and does a good job of improving The Bangle Butt of the 7er. The Alpina Blue color is gorgeous and matched in beauty by the appearance of the special Alpina wood interior trim. Riding on classic Alpina signature 21" wheels and it is, how do the kids say, "pimp". When I find that $125,000 in the cushions of my couch and in the back pocket of a pair of jeans I haven't worn in long time I'm going to buy that car.

I have to tell you that I have a sickness and it is wanting to mod cars. Everytime I buy a car I swear I will not mod it. I have always modded my cars even if it was one small aesthetic mod, I cannot leave it alone. I'm sure many of you can relate and like me, daydream about what mods to perform. I have been obsessing with a set of 19" CSL replica wheels for my E90 along with a Hartge style front lip spoiler. Those would add to the other mods I have already done, including the ones I bought before even taking delivery. I swear that if I do the wheels and lip spoiler that will be it. Okay, maybe an M-Sport steering wheel. Help! We're a particular breed us BMW owners. For those of us who love BMW's because of its goal of automotive perfection and constant desire to improve the product perhaps we adopt the same mentality and strive to improve what BMW delivered to us. Whether it be better speakers, exhaust, wheels or whatever, we seem to want to make it just a little better. Maybe it's not that meaningful and it's simply that we like cool stuff rich stereo sound, deep exhausts, and big wheels. Personally, I just like to make my ride a little different than the rest. I'm not looking to be faster or better than anyone else. I want to look at my car and see something that I put together for me and something that is not your average BMW. We'll see just how my E90 turns out. Of course I'll post pictures.

Hawt news:

I don't even want to call it news but you can't avoid seeing or hearing something about Parisite Hilton. As of right now, she has been released on home monitoring in lieu of jail custody but tomorrow morning she will have to be back in court to see if the judge who sentenced her will approve the Sheriff's decision to change her level of custody. There is much debate on whether it is fair or not and whether she is either getting preferential treatment or being made an example of. I think she is an idiot and a waste of space, as well as a waste of everyone's precious time and attention. She thrives on the media coverage and it perpetuates her "famous for being famous" persona. She loves every minute of it. You need only watch the video of her leaving her parent's house to go to jail and when she arrives. While driving past the paparazzi they have all of the windows rolled down! I'm sure they're tinted and with it having been at night there would not have been any pictures of her going to jail but she gave the photogs perfect shots. On the issue of whether she's getting handled differently, I would have to say that she is getting preferential treatment. Incidentally, this has all given another full-time media slut, Al Sharpton, another soapbox to jump on and cry racism. Too bad! In any event, if I were her though, I sure as hell wouldn't say no to it. Unfortunately because she has made herself such a public figure and thus a target, she is getting everything she deserves. Add to that the fact the Los Angeles County Lee Baca is not exactly well liked and had demonstrated a penchant for doing favors for connected people, Paris might bear the brunt of it. I don't feel one bit sorry for her. After all the public frustration and even anger over this issue the clear winner will be Parisite Hilton. She lives and dies by her name being in the news and whether it be for a murky sex video, having her herpes medication sold auction style, uttering racial slurs, or going to jail so long as people are talking about her, she wins.

Crazy news:

Parisite is a criminal but we have one less criminal to worry about. Darwin in action!
Big payday for housewife. Will all that money fit in the cookie jar?
I think Darwin is working overtime.
Viagra: It's good for kids!
Some people need a good smack in the head.
Make your own joke. I don't want to offend the Irish amongst us.
Looks like Darwin is working a triple tonight.
This lady did more jail time than Parisite and she didn't do anything wrong!
Oh no! Darwin just can't stop. It's a quadruple shift!

Have a great weekend everyone!
