Leave giant LeBron banner alone

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Gov. Ted Strickland wants state transportation officials to back off any threat of removing a 10-story banner featuring Cavaliers star LeBron James.

Komlanc said the banner is too big -- federal rules require it to be under 1,200-square feet. The state agency must enforce the guidelines or risk losing 10 percent of federal highway funding, which is about $130 million a year for Ohio, she said.

"So my question is......should they remove it or let it stay?

If it's violating the law it should be removed. Who cares if it's LeBron James on it? Just what we need, another overpaid athlete as an object of idol worship. I would say the same thing if it was a PSA for saving baby seals.

The banner has been there SINCE 2005 and they want to remove it now that the CAVS are in the NBA Finals? Way to support your team Ohio DOT.
