To your credit, I believe you have done just that. I certainly don't agree with many (most) of your political viewpoints but I have no objections to your debate style. I have made it very clear that I never blame the foot soldiers for policy decisions. Even in cases where they are being prosecuted, like in the case of Abu Ghraib prison, I tend to doulbt they are to blame. Leadership is to blame.

Do I think that the Air Force pilot made the decision to bomb that school? Absolutely not. Do I think his commander made the decision? No. Do I think some high level general in Afghanistan made the decision? Possibly. Do I think the decision came from someone in Washington? Most likely.

So no, I do not think people in the armed forces are bad people. Just the opposite, I think they are good people and are brave for serving their country. I also think they are victims just like the kids in that school, and their lives are being put in danger to protect the economic investments of large coporations, not to protect the the freedom of the American people as they have been told, and as I'm sure most of them believe they are doing.

If you think it is, then you know even less about the military than I thought.

No one outside of Afghanistan made the final decision to initiate the attack. That was made on the ground.

Thus, you are insulting the very people you claim "are good people and are brave for serving their country."

BTW - if you want to insult anyone in uniform, from Gen Pace on down, you're insulting all of us. We have all taken the same oath, given up the same rights, and gone through the same sacrifices. You clearly don't understand the bond that exists, and the exhaustion with biased, uninformed left-wing criticism like yours.
