I hate painting!

I had to fire the contractor painting the inside of my home today. We are placing our house on the market so we are doing some freshening up. Prior to deciding to sell we installed new carpet so I hired the job out to a professional to keep things nice and tidy.

Anyhow, day one I was not impressed but heck its the first day and it was mainly prep work. That said I believe a good prep job is vital to the overall fit and finish. So day two I catch him painting the lower wall of the stairwell which is carpeted with a 3" brush and no tape or tarp. Needless to say the paint was not only on the wall but on the edges of the carpet.

When I freaked out he said he was only testing it out and that he would clean it up and tape it off. I immediately told him to clean up and paid him for the two days work.

Now I'm stuck painting the entire house...

Life sucks when you are meticulous.

Michael
