Looks like I'll be off to Montreal next year. Hopefully it'll be back for 08. We'll see:

This is really bad news indeed. Bernie Ecclestone has done the same thing with the French GP in Magny-Cours which 2007 is the last season it will see the F1 GP.

I found Tony George's comment interesting, "In the United States, Formula One is not perceived quite the way it is around the world, It's a tough dynamic, but the future will depend upon recognizing the fact that the United States is a bit different. It's important to figure out how to make it work." What do you guys stateside think would make F1 work for the US?

Consistancy, I think that the US is warming to F1 as people are evolving past Nascar and I think consistancy is the key to getting a good turnout...as a side note I think Ecclestone is a complete douche...

The truth of the matter is that the USGP just can't throw enough money at Formula One. The reason tracks like Suzuka, Indy, Magny-Cours have been dropped is that Bernie's got a helluva lot of mula flowin in from third-world countries and Middle East tracks/sponsors. He even threatened Silverstone right after the race.
