You should post what your background is.
Even though you've graduated, you can still intern. Good way to enter a company, and you could still look for other jobs. |

I'm basically willing to do anything at this point. It's been nearly 3 months now since I graduated. I received my diploma the other day in the mail! It's a BS in Business Administration.

A friend of mine has had luck using temp agencies to land good jobs on a couple of occasions. The agreement that most of these agencies have is that after 3 months, if the company likes you, they are allowed to hire you directly. So you will receive reduced pay for the first 90 days, and then after that, assuming you work hard and the company likes you, you get a regular job. It also gives you an opportunity to try out a job. If you don't like where they place you, then you can have them place you somewhere else.

Some folks in NorCal use the temp agencies because of the connections that it provides over the short term. As you get established and known the contacts help you get a firm grip on the market. So in the short term somebody like http://www.roberthalfmr.com/portal/site/rhmr-us may be of help.

my B.S went down the toilet. i didnt even use any of the knowledge i learned in school back then. i ended up doing completely different stuff. hm, in your case, just apply to retail stores, bank offices. you will land a job but not your primary choice, but what the heck it keeps you busy while waiting for your dream job. as long as you stay productive and busy, you wont be down for long. staples, office depot, bank tellers are examples. good luck.

I was in the same boat about 2 months back. I felt my brain cells depleting as i found myself stuck doing nothing productive. I had a bachelors degree but I had close to 0 work experience so not a lot of companies were interested in hiring me. I was jobless for 5 months, wallowing in frustration. Eventually, I landed a pretty good job. Getting a temp job or interning is definitely a good start. I would have taken that path if i still was unemployed. Good luck to you. I'm sure things should turn around for the better.

Thanks for all the advice guys. Will start looking into the temp agencies and more internships. Most of the internships I already applied for have required that I currently be enrolled in school; but that is of course through the schools intern database.
