Thanks for the support everyone!! In case you're wondering WTF? - I made a post a few weeks ago about being laid off. I had been interviewing before the layoff, and the offer came through.

Since this is a really public forum, I'll reveal as much as I can. (Merrill Lynch laid me off so I don't care if I mention them here.) My new company is symbolized with a c. I'll be a financial planner in their private bank in midtown Manhattan. I'm a CFP by profession so this is an opportunity of the decade for me.

Better than even odds that we'll be moving before labor day.
