If it weren't for folks like Jelly Roll Morton, Irving Berlin, Al Jolson, Bing Crosby, Satchmo, W.C. Handy, etc., there wouldn't be a Frankie, Elvis, or Michael Jackson. Crosby repeatedly said throughout his career that Jolson was his idol. |
