There are radar traps but oncoming drivers flash their lights. Namibia is pretty loose on the old highway rules...

Where in Namibia did you go? Did you fly into Windhoek?

I'd like to go to Africa some time, either to South Africa or Nigeria. Many do not know, but Lagos, Nigeria, is a gigantic city, and I'd be interesting to see how it "works" in relation to your typical american city.

Windhoek, Okahandja, Usakos, Karibib, Otjiwarango, Etosha...Yes, Windhoek. Try to fly there direct, avoid Joburg, they steal and pilfer bags there.

I am by no means an expert, but I understand Lagos is for expert travellers only. Get your feet wet in Namibia, SA, Botswana, or Zambia, if you are looking at southern Africa.

Interesting dichotomy. One picture of food in a bowl to feed 130 children and another of an E70 proclaiming you can afford anything. Love the way the world works sometimes

Again you can always start by Senegal. Short direct flight from JFK or ATL, 6 hours, beautiful beaches and very peaceful
